My old boss gave me this recipe when I told her I wanted to make sugar cookies. Rumor has it that it originally came from a Sesame Street book! This is a great classic cookie, that is great fun with cookie cutters.
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
* Cream butter and sugar together. Add vanilla and eggs. Pour flour over mix.
Sprinkle salt and baking powder over flour. Stir it all up.
* Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
* Roll, cut into shapes, and bake!
* Bake at 350 for 6-8 minutes.
